Our society is confronted with fundamental challenges: an aging population; an antiquated education system; a shortage of skilled blue-collar labor; inefficient, analogue procedures within our education and healthcare systems; a rising prevalence of mental health conditions; and pervasive economic inequality.
We commit to investing in outstanding social impact startups that actively address these substantial societal challenges. We believe that growth and impact symbiotically reinforce each other and accelerate on a broader scale. We are convinced that innovative, technology-driven solutions are ready for implementation in various areas, including retirement homes, hospitals, care facilities, educational institutions, and within peoples’ homes. Our investment strategy follows a human-centric approach, placing emphasis on people with chronic diseases, senior citizens, children, families, and marginalized groups.

We are proud to include established actors from the social sector among our Limited Partners (LPs), such as care organizations and social banks. We have a strong presence in the social sector through our partners, and we actively seek opportunities to benefit our portfolio companies. These benefits can range from establishing client relationships and conducting joint projects and workshops, to leveraging existing infrastructure and contacts.
In education, we concentrate on startups that improve learning outcomes, democratize access to education, and enable the education sector to operate more tech-driven and personalized. Our focus areas include early childhood education, lifelong learning, re- and upskilling, challenger universities, and Edtech platforms.
Our health-related investments target solutions aimed at improving the health of individuals. Our focus areas include digital health solutions for disease management, chronic care, mental health, digital therapeutics, remote patient monitoring, and technology-enabled solutions directed towards healthcare infrastructure.
Under the 'Living' segment, we categorize startups that enhance the quality of life for people within and around their own homes. Our areas of interest include fall detection, home care, financial literacy, sustainable mobility and solutions aimed at fostering community building.
As a venture capital investor in digital health, we bring significant value to our portfolio companies through our extensive network of investors and startups in the health sector, providing valuable connections and resources for growth. Additionally, our access to partners enables strategic collaborations and market opportunities. This includes our partnership with CSS, Switzerland’s leading health insurer, which we support in the implementation of its investment activities under the brand of SwissHealth Ventures. With our deep understanding of the industry and track record of successful deals in the segment, we offer expertise and guidance to help our portfolio companies navigate the complex landscape and maximize their potential.
