Marcus Schroeder

CSO, Partner

What brought you to Redstone and when did you start?

I embarked on my Redstone journey in 2017, becoming the first external partner. A mutual friend introduced me to Redstone. Before joining, I was the Global Head of M&A Automotive and Industrials, with experience at Citibank, Merrill Lynch, Thyssenkrupp, and Societe Generale. After closing over 100 transactions in more than 20 years of investment banking M&A, I felt compelled to build something fresh.

What are your main responsibilities in the team?

My main responsibility is to actively lead our fundraising and investor relations activities for the entire Redstone group across all funds. The key task is to coordinate investor communication across all funds, help the team to focus on the most promising opportunities, and to entertain an active dialogue with family offices, wealth and asset managers, corporate investors and entrepreneurs, and public investors.

What innovation will change the future in a positive way?

The unlimited availability of energy (nuclear fusion) and computing power (quantum computing) at the lowest marginal cost will lift billions of people out of poverty and save the planet.

How do you relax/clear your mind?

Being a certified yoga teacher, yoga is my preferred mind-clearing activity - either practicing it myself or teaching Ashtanga Yoga to my friends. Additionally, I relish playing tennis, golf, swimming, skiing in Austria during winters, and body surfing along the Atlantic coast in France.

Whats your favorite lifehack to share?

Square breathing to decompress after an intensive day to fall asleep faster.
